On the 20th and 21st of October, the Belgian Monarchs had received the Italian President Mattarella for a series of official visits across the country. In this context, our CEO Federico Rossi has been invited to attend the official dinner and the Galileo dedicated lunch afterward.
An Honour Beyond Words
Representing Telespazio Belgium, our CEO Federico Rossi had the immense privilege of attending the banquet offered by His Majesty King Philippe, King of the Belgians, in honour of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during his State Visit to Belgium, held at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
This historic occasion was a celebration of shared values, mutual respect, and the enduring friendship between Belgium and Italy.
The following day, Federico Rossi participated in a dedicated lunch focused on GALILEO, our European satellite navigation system. Sitting close to both Heads of State during this event was a humbling experience — a moment that allowed him to contribute to the presentation of the system and to emphasize the importance of industrial cooperation between Belgium and Italy.
As part of the team led by Spaceopal, Telespazio Belgium not only contributes to the operations and evolution of the Galileo system, but also proudly represents Belgium in this strategic European endeavour. Our role in operating the system and supporting the development and testing of its next generation reflects the country’s commitment to excellence in space.
It was a proud moment to highlight how space continues to unite nations — as much as possible — for peaceful purposes, fostering collaboration, innovation, and progress .
